Feather Word is a personal project for a familiar writing workspace on the Mac: a compact ribbon above the page, routine controls within reach, and room for the document itself.

Close to the way you work.
Keep tools close
Font, size, style, alignment and layout controls live in the ribbon. Hide the tools or enter Focus mode when you want more room.
Give text structure
Work with lists, columns and page breaks. Fixed sheets and automatic text flow make the document's shape visible.
Review your writing
Text-change tracking and body-text comparison are being developed alongside local recovery and source-preserving file handling.

Start with a blank page
Choose an English or Arabic document. The page is ready for your first sentence.
Shape the draft
Write, apply text and paragraph styles, and use the ribbon without leaving the document.
Save your work
Create a DOCX and keep local recovery close. Supported simple imports can be edited while complex files remain guarded.
A working project, still in development.
Feather Word is currently a private development build. There is no public download yet. Normal editing of complex imported Word documents and full Word compatibility remain unfinished.
